andy.jpg This man was innocently hit by a stray bullet having no idea where the bullet came from as it was not aimed at him.
It caused paraplegia and his legs curled under and stopped growing. He had not been out of his house for more than 10 years until we delivered the free gurney.
Because there were steps from his house to the ground, we had to also build the access ramp shown in the photo.
Pictured on the left and suffering from life long Cerebral Palsy, 22 year old Saysunee Titkam of rural Fang Thailand was presented with the free all terrain steel wheelchair pictured on the right. Her chair was especially fitted with an upper torso harness and removable study table. In early 2005, this was Saysunee's first access to self-propelled mobility
55 year old Hing Moolingta of rural Pongnumron Thailand lost her right leg above the knee from an exploding land mine. In early 2005, and because of sponsorship, she was presented with this free steel wheelchair, once again, allowing her independent mobility.
3 year old Jatsada Kamleksak of Amphur Lee is vision impaired and suffers from Hydrocephalus. The burst of joy on his face after receiving his free PVC wheeled walker is self explanatory.
After seeing a newspaper article on slum dwellers which pictured 11 month old Piboon Noree (shown above on his mother's lap), we discovered that this child was born with a severely deformed left foot in addition to joined fingers on his left hand. The photo below shows Piboon 6 months later after experiencing 2 successful operations and a 90%
correction of his deformities. Thanks to generous sponsors, this Lisu minority child now looks forward to a normal life.
